Q: Why should I participate in the NSHSS Passion Project Exhibition?
A: By competing in the NSHSS Passion Project Exhibition, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your work and publicize the issues that are most important to you. We have also seen that members who participate in the Exhibition establish valuable connections with other members and with business professionals in attendance.
Q: Who will my audience be?
A: Approximately 1,500 NSHSS members, families, educators, and corporate and university leaders will attend this year’s Scholar’s Day. You'll also network with other students with similar passions, discuss your work with educators and university leaders, and possibly acquire an internship or corporate sponsorship of your project.
Q: What are the prizes for the winners?
A: The top 3 exhibitors from both categories (STEAM & Innovation and World Betterment) will be presented with scholarship checks during the Member Recognition Ceremony on Saturday, November 23. First Place: $1,000; Second Place: $500; Third Place: $250.
Q: Does the exhibit need to be based on an existing project?
A: The exhibit may be a continuation of a previously existing project, or it may be a new project altogether. This is your opportunity to publicize the issues, causes, or topics that you find most important.
Q: Under which category should a project relating to medical research/healthcare be listed?
A: Exhibits relating to medical research/healthcare should be listed under STEAM/Innovation.
Q: What time will exhibit presentations occur?
