Hanyang University in Seoul, Korea was established in 1939 with the educational philosophy, “Love in Deed and Truth.” Hanyang University is composed of two campuses, one in central Seoul and the other in the city of Ansan on the southern outskirts of Seoul. It has 24 colleges with 103 departments and 113 departments for Master’s degree and 104 departments for Doctoral degree. Registered students are over 32,000 and alumni are over 300,000. Hanyang University was ranked 155th in 2017 QS World University Rankings.
Hanyang University was accredited as the ‘first’ four-year engineering college in Korea. This is why it is among the top universities in the engineering sector. Hanyang University ranked 1st in the nation and 23rd worldwide in The Nature Index 2017 Innovation table, 'Top 100 institutions by Lens score.'
Hanyang was ranked 1st for the number of venture company CEO alumni and 1st for the number of student entrepreneurs in 2016.
Hanyang university enrolls over 7,000 foreign students each year and also has 720 partner universities in 76 countries. It was ranked 1st from the QS Asian University Rankings in terms of the number of international students nationwide in 2015.
