The Naval Academy Office of Admissions will host, approximately, 150 prominent educators and community leaders from around the nation for an in depth two-day seminar scheduled for October 21-24, 2013. Your visit will acquaint you with the exceptional undergraduate opportunities offered at the Naval Academy, which will enable you to identify and encourage young men and women to pursue a Naval Academy college education.
As one of our nation's premier undergraduate institutions, the Naval Academy prepares midshipmen morally, mentally, and physically to be professional officers in the naval service. During your visit you will see and experience firsthand how the 4,400 young men and women of the Brigade of Midshipmen live, study, and train for the very special mission of becoming future leaders of this nation. Your two-day visit (plus a travel day at both ends) is hosted by the Naval Academy. As such, the Naval Academy Office of Admissions will provide you fully funded invitational travel orders granting airfare, lodging, and most meals. You are responsible for getting to and from your regional airport.
The Naval Academy has a strong commitment to our student body. We hope that your participation in this event will help us to promote awareness of the opportunities available for youth at the Naval Academy as well as to forge long lasting partnerships across the country.
