NSHSS is happy to announce a summer initiative for its members around its #1 value, World Betterment. Led by NSHSS Ambassador, Dillon Pabisz, and his boy scout troop in Florida, we encourage you to make your communities a little greener beyond the state of Florida. This exciting new initiative you can participate in over the summer will show just how strong the NSHSS community is globally. How can you participate as a leader and scholar in your community? All we ask you to do is pick up litter around your community with peers, family, fellow scholars, or individually. Details are below!

The #greenNSHSS Summer Initiative will take place from July 7 – August 31, 2014. However, we encourage you to continue cleaning your community beyond these dates and make it a permanent habit!

1. Pick up any litter around your community, on summer vacation, at work, on a hike, etc.
2. Take a photo of yourself with the piece of litter that you have collected and upload it onto Twitter or Instagram (@NSHSS) or share it with us and our fans on our Facebook Page and by joining the #GreenNSHSS Facebook group.
3. Use #GreenNSHSS and specify your location of collection and approximate weight of trash so that we can easily share your picture with other scholars around the world!

NSHSS and NSHSS Ambassadors will keep record of how much weight in trash is collected over the summer across the world. Let’s see what we can all do together as a Society to make the earth a little greener!
