The National Society of High School Scholars recently held a member event at Saint Louis University on May 31, 2013. During this event, more than 200 students, parents, and educators participated in a college fair, member recognition presentations, an exclusive Career Preparation Seminar hosted by Missouri State University, and a professional panel.
The College Fair was a great event in which 11 universities participated: Dublin City University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Saint Louis University, Missouri State University, Florida State University International Programs, National University of Singapore, Vesalius College, University of Queensland, Newcastle University, University of Dundee, and University of Melbourne. During the program, Mr. Nobel presented 5 Educators of Distinction awards at the event. NSHSS Educators of Distinction are teachers that are nominated by NSHSS members; these teachers have made a significant impact on students’ lives, and NSHSS was proud to honor them at the member event.
Missouri State University Career Center Staff presented a special interactive seminar focused on the following topics: The Power of Networking, What Do I Want to Be When I Grow Up, How to Stand Out and Get Noticed (For the Right Reasons) and Your Social Media Brand.
