(Chicago Tribune) - "For 26 years, the Tribune has capped each high school sports year by honoring a group of students whose excellence extends to both the classroom and fields of play. The 2015-16 Scholar-Athlete Team represents the best in academics and athletics the Chicago area has to offer. Each Scholar-Athlete must be either in the top 10 percent of his or her class or score a 30 on the ACT, be named all-conference in at least one sports and be nominated by his or her school." NSHSS Member Tess O'Brien, a student at Paletine High school, was named a 2015-16 Tribue Scholar-Athlete.
