We have a new group of interns here at NSHSS headquarters in Atlanta. They’re the helpful and enthusiastic bunch who help keep everything running smoothly. If you’ve contacted NSHSS through chat or called us, you may have spoken to one of them already! We asked our interns to write a little introduction to themselves so you can learn more about them and their experience with NSHSS.

“Hello everyone, my name is Jacquée. I’m a Georgia State University alumni with a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Video and a minor in Economics. I plan to pursue a Master’s degree in International Education and hopefully work for a non-profit organization that assists students in studying abroad. I love learning about different cultures and the many different languages of the world. I learn about most through film, but others I have been able to have hands on experience with through study abroad. To all the students out there, I say, take advantage of any educational offerings around you; they can only help you!”

 “My name is Chelse, and I'm an intern here at NSHSS! I've been a member of NSHSS since my sophomore year in high school and I've really enjoyed my experience with NSHSS as my membership has allowed me access to so many unique opportunities! I think working as an intern here has further given me a chance to see the amazing opportunities awarded to so many deserving students, and I hope that if you're looking to become a member you'll be inspired by the dynamic community of scholars and leaders that                                     make up this amazing society!”

 “My name is Jae Ro; I am 21 years old and am from Columbia, South Carolina. I am a rising fourth year at Emory University, and I am currently majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Philosophy. Some of my hobbies include playing soccer (Let's go Germany!), listening and creating music, and doing anything outdoors. I am currently an intern at the National Society of High School Scholars, and it has been a great experience so far. During my time here I have been able to learn about marketing tactics, communications skills, computer operations, and the requirements for running an organization in general. Also, building friendships with my fellow interns and getting to know the staff at NSHSS has been awesome and has helped make my experience as a summer intern that much better. I hope to apply what I have learned this summer to the rest of my time at Emory as well as what lies after graduation.”
