A Lifetime of Opportunities to Learn, Lead, and Change the World

This is the time of year we welcome new members to NSHSS. It is also a time of transition for many of our current members: from high school to college, college to career, and even from one grade level to the next. As a member, you can take advantage of all of the lifetime benefits that your membership offers. Here are some highlights:

Scholarships

NSHSS works to continuously provide scholarship opportunities to our high school and college members to defray the costs associated with college, and offers life-changing opportunities through special summer and study abroad programs. Visit www.nshss.org/scholarships to see a full list of opportunities.

Events

NSHSS hosts member events across the United States every year. Exciting events - with college fairs, scholarship presentations and career exploration workshops – are taking place in Washington D.C.; Columbus, OH; New York, NY; Dallas, TX; and Atlanta, GA over the next five months. Visit www.nshss.org/member-events to register.

NSHSS members are also invited to attend events hosted by our partners, like the Summer Youth Assembly at the United Nations in New York City. These events are an opportunity for our members to connect with other outstanding young minds and likeminded students. Visit our events page for registration details.

Study Abroad

NSHSS is proud to partner with top colleges and universities around the world. Many of our international partners, like King's College London, Bocconi University, Macquarie, University of Sydney, ECE Paris, Newcastle University and others, offer tuition discounts and scholarships for NSHSS members. Visit our university page to learn about these opportunities.

Educational partners like The Intern Group, Connect 1-2-3, and African Impact offer NSHSS college members the opportunity to gain valuable work experience through an internship abroad. Learn more about these opportunities.

College Prep

Pre-College Programs, such as those offered by Baruch College, The George Washington University, Johns Hopkins University, Syracuse University, and the University of Virginia, are a great opportunity for high school students to get a sneak-peek at college life. From living on campus to taking classes, these programs allow students to explore their academic interests. Some programs even offer college credit, which allows students to get a head start on their college careers.

Unique Educational Experiences

NSHSS is always looking for unique learning experiences that can help our members enrich their academic careers. From adventure programs in Costa Rica with Outward Bound Costa Rica to academic enrichment at the Environmental Studies Summer Youth Institute, there are countless opportunities for NSHSS members to learn new skills and gain once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Be on the lookout for application details for the 2016 Stockholm Member Event in August. Each December, NSHSS takes a group of members to Stockholm, Sweden, to experience the Nobel Prize Week and the festivities surrounding the Nobel Prizes.

Be sure to keep your email address updated! NSHSS members should login to the Member Dashboard regularly to learn about the latest opportunities available.
