NSHSS is committed to connecting our scholars with experiences to prepare for meaningful college experiences and careers, and we are especially excited for you to meet leaders at Thermo Fisher Scientific on Monday, July 27, 2015 in Pittsburgh, PA.
Held at the prestigious Carnegie Science Center – where science meets technology – NSHSS high school and college scholars will meet leaders working at Thermo Fisher Scientific who will share personal experiences about their career path and employment opportunities at Thermo Fisher, a leader in serving science.
Scholars will also talk directly with Thermo Fisher’s summer college interns – a great way to gain first-hand knowledge of how to apply for and secure an internship that will build technical and business skills and allow you to explore specific career interests.
We know that 41% of NSHSS scholars expect to secure a job upon graduating from college. It’s opportunities like the Thermo Fisher Scientific event that give our scholars that extra edge. You’ll learn the details of the company’s 10 to 14-week internship program that includes a coaching component to help you maximize your academic studies and career potential. Thermo Fisher’s internship program operates in four cities: Waltham, MA; Pittsburgh, PA; Frederick, MD; and Carlsbad, CA.
We hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to meet Senior Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion Alan Nevel, Product Manager Robert Marshall, and President of Research & Safety Market Division Lisa Witte, along with the 2015 summer interns.
