New Collaborating University: University of East Anglia

University of East Anglia is a quality institution based in the historic City of Norwich, UK. We are globally renowned for our teaching and research excellence, as well as our commitment to student satisfaction.

Our dedication to providing world quality education and research is reflected in several global rankings, including the Times Higher Education World Rankings, which put us inside the top 1% of universities globally. Additionally, the Leiden Rankings place us firmly within the world top 100% research institutions, and the local Times Good University Guide ranks UEA in the top 15 of UK universities.

Our Location

The medieval city of Norwich, which has been voted one of the world’s best small cities. The city features two cathedrals, a castle, dozens of cobbled streets and lanes straddled by historic architecture whilst modern shopping facilities and entertainment venues blend in effortlessly.

Norwich is home to a permanent covered marketplace, which brings together a blend of local and global food sellers. The city is also enjoying a renaissance period for restaurants and eateries. Residents spend their leisure time in countless parks, six theatres, four cinemas, many traditional pubs, and Carrow Road where Norwich City F.C. play. In addition, Norwich is one of the safest Cities in the UK.

Our Campus

Set in 320 acres of lush green parkland, our campus serves 15,000 students from over 120 different nationalities, making your educational experience both quintessentially British and culturally diverse.

Students are guaranteed campus accommodation in their first year. Afterwards, students either choose to apply to remain on campus, or move into a shared accommodation between the university and the city.

Our Student Union contributes heavily to our reputation for excellent student experience by offering over 200 different clubs and societies, numerous live gigs, and club nights. UEA also offers a range of student support services. We are home to one of the UK’s largest indoor sports centres and The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Art – our very own on-campus museum.

Studying with UEA

As with all English degrees, our courses are slightly shorter than much of the rest of the world. Bachelor degrees are completed in three years, master’s students finish in one year, and doctoral candidates end in three to three and a half years.

In general, applications are considered on a first come, first served basis. As we are a selective institution, we will close our programmes to new applicants once our cap has been reached. The number of students accepted varies by course of study, so it is best to contact us for further information.

NSHSS Scholarships

We are pleased to offer several of scholarships to NSHSS students, all of which will be in the form of direct discount on tuition fees. You can find more information on these here.
