This Presidential Election has been nothing short of controversial. However, there are a few things we can all agree on – there will be change in Washington this January; it will be a first for the nation; and the influence of that change will impact generations for years to come. We believe, amid all the noise, it is imperative that we create a space for our young scholars to grow and be heard in a safe and civil environment.

With this goal in mind, we are proud to announce that the National Society of High School Scholars has signed on as a partner for the 2017 Presidential Inauguration Leadership Summit, a dynamic five-day event held in Washington, DC. Through this partnership, you are not only eligible to attend the Summit, but will also receive a $250 grant* to apply toward your tuition.

Using the 2017 Presidential inauguration as a backdrop, delegations from schools around the country will have a unique opportunity to take on 21st century challenges while gaining the skills they need to become tomorrow’s influencers and leaders.

The 2017 Presidential Inauguration Leadership Summit is being coordinated by Envision, the nation's leader in providing experiential career and leadership opportunities for next generation leaders. Over the past 30 years, Envision has helped more than 800,000 students discover their passions and Envision their futures.

During this once-in-a-lifetime Summit, you will serve as a delegate, representing your hometown, country, and beliefs while working with like-minded scholars to create positive change in the world. At the Summit, you will:

· Witness history from the national mall, as the 45th President of the United States takes the oath of office

· Be inspired by the Inaugural Address and our world-renowned slate of Summit Speakers, including General Collin Powell, and Spike Lee, to name a few

· Be heard as part of a Delegation for Change, tackling key issues facing their generation and the new president

· Celebrate the power of democracy at an exclusive Envision Inaugural Gala, held at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum
