CGI U Deadline is Quickly Approaching
NSHSS is excited to continue our collaboration with Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U). President Clinton created CGI U to inspire college students – undergraduate and graduate level – to take action as global citizens. NSHSS members currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate college programs are eligible to apply to attend CGI U 2016 at the University of California, Berkeley, on April 1-3, 2016.
The ninth annual CGI U meeting, hosted by President Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, will gather more than 1,000 innovative student leaders to make Commitments to Action that address some of the world's most pressing challenges.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and enrolled in an institution of higher education at the time of the CGI U meeting in order to apply. The final application deadline is December 1, 2015. IMPORTANT: In the CGI U 2016 application, be certain to list your membership with NSHSS in the “short biography section” and in the section “how did you hear about CGIU”.
Program details and featured speakers will be announced at a later date. For more details, click here or visit cgiu.org. And share this exciting news with your friends and family on Facebook and Twitter!
The Resolution Project
The Resolution Project invites undergraduates to attend host conferences to propose impactful, socially-responsible projects in the Resolution Social Venture Challenge (SVC). Students submit plans for innovative social ventures (for-profit or not-for-profit) that address social issues, competing for Resolution Fellowships. The Fellowship includes seed funding, strong advisory support, access to resources, and a community of peers. Resolution is holding a SVC at CGI U 2016 on April 1-3, 2016. CGI U is now accepting applications, which are due December 1, 2015.
Email svc@resolutionproject.org with questions and information about registering for an SVC.
