NSHSS would like to welcome the newest collaborating university program, The Minerva Schools at KGI to the family.
A new global liberal arts approach: The Minerva Schools at KGI is a newly established university designed to answer the question “What would higher education look like if built from scratch today?”
A global experience: students at Minerva live and learn in up to seven of the world’s greatest cities, spending freshman year in San Francisco and subsequent semesters in Berlin, Buenos Aires, New York and more.
A relevant curriculum: Minerva’s curriculum is designed to provide students the intellectual foundation and habits of mind to solve complex global problems - students learn how to think, not what to think.
An engaged classroom: Rather than sit passively in large lectures, Minerva students actively engage through small seminars.
Meet Minerva’s bright, bold and internationally diverse Founding Class on Saturday, December 6th in San Francisco, California. If studying at Minerva and attending this open house piques your interest, you can gain more information and RSVP here.
The Minerva Schools at KGI are offering a special scholarship to NSHSS members.
The Scholarship for Perseverance: Failure is often the first step toward success. Minerva established the Scholarship for Perseverance to identify and reward exceptional NSHSS students who have the courage and ambition to explore new things, and the resilience and maturity to learn from failure. This scholarship will cover four years of full tuition at Minerva ($40,000). To apply, simply complete the free Minerva application and denote your interest in the scholarship at the end of the application process. The first phase takes only fifteen minutes, so get started today. If you have any questions email info@minerva.kgi.edu.
