As a student who enlightened the importance of health, I hope all students maintain a healthy nutritional life and stamina to make sure that health is not the factor of a hindrance to study well. Also, I confidently contend that air circulation and quality in indoor classrooms can easily be polluted; as olfactory sense/nerve is highly sensitive, air quality plays a critical role in studying the environment. If vertical gardening is implemented in the classroom, students can be easily exposed to verdant green with purified indoor air with rosemary, jasmine, and lavender. Additionally, as spearmint and lemon balm is effective in promoting the immune system and combating headaches, students can easily harvest those herbs and consume them by planting medicinal herbs into the classroom wall. Students can stay healthy and nutritious at any moment in the classroom either by brewing herbs or eating. I believe utilizing vertical gardening on at least one facet of the classroom wall will bring significant difference to the quality of student life in the educational space. It is capable for students to prosper in any educational space with fresh air and healthy nutrition. I promoted this use of the application to my school's lower divisions, elementary/middle schools in Seoul, and UNICEF.
It is a great honour to be able to be a scholar here in the National Society of High School Scholars. I am glad that I was able to not only delineate my idea for innovation in education but also be able to receive the scholarship. Thank you very much.
By looking through the eyes of teachers around the world, we have found inspiration in those working with little to create so much for their students. The NSHSS Foundation Innovation in Education Scholarship aims to award and encourage those in the academic field seeking to foster innovation, growth and improvement in our students, our future.
