Recognize and reward your best high school students by nominating them for membership in the National Society of High School Scholars.
Students who join NSHSS are members for life. A one-time membership fee grants them access to benefits in high school, college, and beyond, including leadership programs, networking opportunities, exclusive events and partner discounts, and scholarship opportunities. There are no fees to apply for scholarships.
"I have been blown away by the consistent communication and invitations from NSHSS to nominate students, apply for grants and participate in an incredible community of academics, both learners and teachers. The grant writing and acceptance process is not time consuming, making it an accessible way to receive funds and better serve students!"
"We are so thankful for your kindness and support. We have a Science Fair coming up in February, and finding sponsors has been a difficult one. Non-traditional students have limited resources in many communities, and we want to equal the playing field. No child should be left behind, meaning public school and non-traditional students. Thank you!"
"NSHSS is incredible. They are at the forefront of supporting schools, students, and educators. Having a group that truly cares about equity and access for students to achieve is praiseworthy in a world where people don't always see the value in education."
"Page High School AVID Club would like to extend our sincerest gratitude and thank-you for this opportunity. This support will have a lasting impact on the educational aspirations and future success of our high school students. Your support will enable us to provide them with invaluable opportunities for personal and academic growth, ultimately helping them achieve their goals of attending and succeeding in college."
"Working with NSHSS has empowered me to be a creative and compassionate teacher. As an educator, it can feel like I'm always trying to perform an infinite number of miracles with a finite supply of loaves and fishes. The grant I received this year from NSHSS has quickly been converted into a garden for our environmental science elective targeted towards kids with learning disabilities. For this and so much more, I would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the people and organizations that made this possible. Let's keep the miracles flowing!"
“I want to thank the Scholarship & Grants committee for selecting me for this incredible honor! As a teacher, I went into the profession because I wanted to make a difference in students’ lives and create positive change. Through the application process, this recognition has helped me to reflect on my years as an educator and the impact I am making every day to my students and the community. I am truly humbled by being selected as the 2022 Claes Nobel Educator of the Year from a pool of other educators that are also doing incredible things in their schools. Thank you!”
"It is always humbling to receive an award, but also something to be prideful of at the same time, and I am grateful to NSHSS for the efforts it makes to recognize teachers."
"This is the first time I have applied for a grant through NSHSS and I have to share my appreciation for their willingness to help me to help my students and players. The application process was fairly easy, and I am so grateful for the NSHSS."
"The National Society of High School Scholars is an awesome organization which supports the scholarship of high school students with extracurricular activities. Notably, The National Society of High School Scholars also acknowledges the importance of athletic activities in developing talented youth with the Athletic Sponsor Grant. Grants provide tremendous support to programs, including athletic programs, by extending resources available to each student. My experience with NSHSS as an Educator has been rewarding in identifying high school scholars who are student-athletes."
