NSHSS at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 2024

The National Society of High School Scholars teamed up with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and ALSAC to bring a group of our members to the St. Jude campus in Memphis, Tennessee, for an open house event designed specifically to explore all aspects of careers in healthcare.

Students heard from St. Jude Faculty, ALSAC Fundraising Staff, and the ALSAC Global team. They enjoyed a walking tour of the hospital campus, participated in a team event, and had the opportunity to gain insights on career paths and the research hospital's service model.

At 211 degrees, water is hot. At 212 degrees, it boils; with boiling water comes steam, and with steam, you can power a train. One extra degree makes all the difference!  Since its inception, ALSAC SJCRH has always embraced the extra degree, going above and beyond with the patient family experience, medical research, sharing information, volunteer/donor experience, and employee experience.
