Testimonials
The Dancer Mathematician
“At first, I told Don, ‘I don’t want to stay in Georgia.’ I was 100% set on leaving. But once we looked at schools that matched my major, my interests, and the kind of campus I wanted… Spelman just felt right. I honestly don’t know where I’d be without HelloCollege. The process would’ve been so much more stressful—and I probably would’ve ended up at a totally different school.”
-Taryn M., Spelman Math Major Student
It Only Happened Because of HelloCollege
"After three minutes of talking with Kevin at HelloCollege I realized that this isn’t just one person helping us out; it is a team of experts. I really walked into this with the hope that our kids would be able to achieve their dreams, but I know that today it only happened because of HelloCollege. You get one shot. It’s hyper competitive out there. Make sure you are armed with people who are experts and can give you the best chance of achieving your dreams."
-Jana S., Mother of Jake, Texas A&M Engineer Student
Big Dreams, Big Goals
"We originally thought of the college application process as being quite easy… That, obviously, was not the case.
I would quite frankly say that Raymond and the team over at HelloCollege, including Kevin, have, in the best way possible, hacked the college application system. They've found every shortcut, every method to make your application quite literally the best it can be and the best that any application reader can ever see."
-Aaron G., University of Texas Rio Grande Valley BS/MD Student

That’s a trick question because there isn’t just one most important thing colleges look at. Admissions officers use a holistic review, meaning they consider your grades, course rigor, and test scores alongside your activities, essays, and recommendations. Strong academics matter, but colleges also want to see who you are beyond the classroom and how you’ll contribute to their community.
Most students should apply to about 6–10 colleges. That typically includes 2 reach schools, 3–4 target schools, and 2 safety schools. The key is building a balanced, well-researched list because applying to more colleges isn’t always better. Focus on quality and fit to maximize your chances of admission success.
