Elizabeth Benitez
Elizabeth Benitez is a school counselor for grades 8-12 in Federal Way. She has been a counselor for seven years and loves working with students & supporting students with social-emotional & academic needs, as well as providing post-secondary planning to ensure that all students have the chance to explore future options! Elizabeth has been working hard on completing her national boards and will complete them next school year (24-25). She is excited about the process of national boards as it is expanding her learning and helping her reflect & be more intentional with her counseling department deliverables. This grant is going to help her achieve her National Boards certification!
NSHSS assists with financial support and resources for educators pursuing the National Board Certification (NBC), a prestigious and rigorous professional certification that recognizes exemplary teaching practices. This grant aims to encourage and facilitate educators' commitment to continuous professional growth, ultimately enhancing the quality of education in our schools. NSHSS is providing two (2) $2,000 grants to educators pursuing this certification.
