
Ronald Canos
Dr. Ronald A.S. Canos, Ed.D., is an award-winning educator and administrator with over 28 years of service in Guam’s public education system. As a National Board Certified Teacher, he has dedicated his career to advancing student achievement through innovative teaching, mentorship, and leadership. Dr. Canos earned his Doctor of Education in Teacher Leadership. His career spans roles as teacher, mentor, university instructor, and accreditation coordinator, with significant contributions to curriculum design, professional development, and community engagement/service learning. Recognized for his excellence, Dr. Canos has received numerous awards, including Guam Teacher of the Year.
Experiential learning programs can stimulate academic inquiry by promoting interdisciplinary learning, civic engagement, career development, cultural awareness, leadership, and other professional and intellectual skills. NSHSS is giving two (2) high school educators $1,000 grants to help provide experiential opportunities to their students and classrooms.
