Crafting Your Elevator Pitch Using Generative AI

This 45-minute interactive workshop empowers students to develop a confident and compelling elevator pitch to introduce themselves in academic, career, or networking settings. Participants will explore how to identify their unique story, strengthen their networking skills, and leverage IBM SkillsBuild to craft powerful introductions using AI. In partnership with IBM, this free training experience walks students through creating an IBM SkillsBuild account, exploring its resources, and building an elevator pitch they can use immediately and refine long after the session.

Tony Betton Jr.

Tony Betton Jr. is an Emmy-nominated media professional, storyteller, and youth development leader currently serving as Programs & Communications Director at Usher’s New Look. With a decade of experience spanning journalism, education, and creative programming, Tony has led national initiatives that connect young people to career pathways in media, entertainment, and technology. A certified youth instructor with credentials from Emory University, The King Center, and IBM SkillsBuild, he is passionate about using storytelling and innovation to empower the next generation of leaders and changemakers. Tony also serves on the NSHSS Fellows Board as the VP of Communications.
