Strong Minds, Strong Futures: Mental Wellness for High School Students is a 45-minute NSHSS webinar designed to support students’ overall well-being through a strength-focused, inclusive lens. Led by NSHSS Fellow Claire Kirsch, this session will explore how mental wellness fits into everyday life, why emotional health matters during adolescence, and how students can develop practical skills to manage stress, build resilience, and seek support when needed.

Participants will learn about common high school stressors, simple strategies for maintaining balance, the importance of belonging and self-understanding, and how to access appropriate mental health resources. This educational, wellness-centered conversation emphasizes empowerment, prevention, and support—helping students feel informed, capable, and connected as they prepare for their futures.
