Deborah Orieukwu

Deborah Orieukwu is a hard-working and driven individual whose passion lies in bettering her community and immersing herself in the field of healthcare. She has served as treasurer and president of her Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Chapter, volunteered in a hospital, library, and environmental sanctuary, and has four medical certifications. Her leadership activities range from picking up trash on the beach and engaging with social media through NSHSS to serving on her library's Teen Advisory Committee (TAC). Residing in an area with a record-high incidence of health complications, she embarked on group research under a local hospital system to enhance her knowledge regarding the systemic bodily effects of a highly consumed food. She is passionate about saving the planet, improving lives, and transforming her community, believing that taking charge to drive change leads to a substantial positive impact.
