Ella Cusack

Ella currently serves as one of fifteen members of the Aga Khan Foundation of Canada’s Youth Advisory Committee, where she advocates for Canadian youth and informs and engages Canadians from coast to coast on a range of critical global issues. Her work with the Coverdale Centre for Women has inspired her to pursue a Bachelor of Health at the University of New Brunswick Saint John, where she hopes to work within non-governmental organizations as a women and humans rights advocate.

Throughout her high school years, Ella completed a rigorous course load, enrolling in Advanced Placement Seminar, Computer Science Principles, Research, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, European History, and French Language and Culture. As a researcher, she has conducted studies pertaining to gender equality and women’s rights, alongside research on cardiovascular resuscitation that was recognized by the Heart & Stroke Foundation. For Ella, music is a large part of her life. She is an accomplished violinist and soprano, winning the 2024 National Music Festival for the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals with her choral ensemble.
