
Jago Stokes
Jago Fin Stokes is a student from the UK currently attending Carrollwood Day School in Tampa, Florida (Hillsborough County). An avid entrepreneur, businessman, and volunteer, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication throughout his academic and extracurricular pursuits. Jago has served as the president of his class for five consecutive years and is an academic All-American debater, ranked #1 in Florida Sunshine in both 11th and 12th grade. He has competed in two national debate competitions and earned recognition for his computational thinking skills.
However, Jago is most proud of his work advocating for foster children. As a founding member of See Us Now, he has become an international advocate for foster care. His efforts include helping pass the bill S.1149, meeting with over 50 senators and congressmen, serving as a U.S. representative at the United Nations conference in Colombia, raising funds for foster homes in South Africa, and hosting events to raise global awareness about the foster care crisis.
NSHSS is awarding 10 $1,000 awards to students who demonstrate exceptional leadership skills through their commitment to serving their communities.
