Leah Ho

Leah Iskhakova Ho is a senior from Torrance, CA, and the founder of Tumbles Paints, a nonprofit that provides free art kits to hospitalized children. She has donated over 400 kits to local hospitals and was selected for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy to grow her impact.

Leah maintains a 4.0 GPA and received the Distinguished Scholar Award. She serves as the president of her high school’s National Honor Society and is a varsity volleyball setter and captain. Leah volunteers as a coach for her city’s rec volleyball program, where she has coached over 100 young athletes. She also volunteers to teach piano to local students, making music more accessible.

As a student board member on the school district board, Leah represents the voices of 22,000 students. Her leadership has earned her awards from the Asian Pacific Youth Leadership, Zonta Young Women in Leadership, the President’s Education Award, and the California Boys & Girls State delegate.

Leah was a USC SHINE Biomedical Engineering Scholar, where she designed a diagnostic sensor for postpartum women. She is a self-published author of Barthalamule’s Science Adventure, a children’s comic that makes chemistry fun and relatable. This fall, Leah will attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) to study biochemistry.
