Leah Mordehai

San Francisco, CA

Leah Mordehai is an aspiring lawyer with a passion for finance, law, and social justice. She serves as Vice President for the Junior Economic Club of San Francisco. She is the Co-Chair of the San Francisco League of Women Voters, leading civic engagement initiatives for young voters. Leah was appointed Youth Commissioner for San Francisco’s District One, advocating for youth interests and organizing forums to ensure young voices are represented in local policy decisions. She has gained hands-on experience in legal research and policy advocacy through internships with the California State Assembly, State Treasurer, and San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. Leah also volunteers as a peer facilitator for Youth Transforming Justice, supporting restorative justice programs for youth, and founded nonprofits including Dream Ukraine and Slavic Voice to provide humanitarian aid and amplify cultural perspectives. In addition to her civic and nonprofit work, she participates in debate, Model United Nations, and varsity cross country and track, and has been recognized for her community service with awards from Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi. Committed to empowering her community, Leah combines leadership, service, and scholarship to make a meaningful impact.
