Lyla LaMonica

Lyla LaMonica, who goes by LK, is honored to have received the NSHSS Nobel Academic Excellence Scholarship. LK serves as her school's Student Body President, Key Club President, Athletic Leadership President, and National Honor Society Community Service Chair. Through these roles, LK wants to leave a legacy of service after graduation by empowering others to recognize the difference they can make. Her favorite volunteer effort she has organized is Shop With a Buc, where young, less fortunate kids get to have a magical holiday shopping spree. LK enjoys playing volleyball as a setter, spending time with her family (including three younger siblings!), and is a cellist in her school's orchestra.
LK aspires to earn a degree in political science to prepare her for Law School one day. This dream has been fueled by her avid interest in politics and by her experiences at the Georgia Capitol, working with and speaking with lawmakers.
