Megan Pawola
Megan is a national-qualifying Level 10 gymnast who has trained for 20 hours a week since 2016, and competed at Level 10 for four years. In addition to gymnastics, Megan works two jobs, including one at her gym, coaching younger girls and working special events at Gymfinity Gymnastics. She serves as a team leader by organizing team bonding events including group volunteering, pool days, and secret Santa. She loves her team like family and takes pride in seeing younger athletes grow and learn the same way she did. Being part of their progress is one of the most meaningful aspects of gymnastics for her.
Outside of her sport, Megan is involved in her community by volunteering at her local hospice center and church. Her favorite classes in school include biology and psychology, and her favorite part of the school day is when she tutors chemistry. She plans to study neuroscience in college next year and eventually find a career in the medical field. Her experiences, including working with kids, volunteering in hospice, and learning to manage time with gymnastics and school, have taught her the value of discipline and commitment, which she hopes to carry with her throughout life.
