Michael Anakata is active in his community, working to support LGBT+ rights. He supports local political candidates and ballot measures with his video editing and visual arts skills. Michael also creates community through performing as rhythm guitarist for the queer band "Moonbug" which has played gigs at 924 Gilman and SF Pride.
