North Allegheny Senior High School
Mars, PA

Sagar Raghavan is an entrepreneur, researcher, and, most importantly, an advocate for changing the world. After seeing his immigrant family undergo unfair financial hardships, he dedicated his time to tackling immigrants’ financial inequalities. He is a Policy Research Fellow and Director of Recruitment at the SPRING Group in immigration policy, Vice President of Public Affairs at the National Finance and Economics Collective, and an alumnus of the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for Global and International Studies. At school, he serves as the Co-President of the Model United Nations Team.

His greatest work is serving as the Founder and CEO of Futr, a 501(c) (3) organization that directly combats financial exclusion. To date, he has connected over 8,000 immigrants to critical financial resources (banks, tax services, and jobs) that are inclusive of immigrants.

Sagar has been recognized by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, the Allegheny County Executive, and the Mayor of Pittsburgh for his community impact through Futr. He was also named a Junior Achievement 18 Under 18 Honoree, recognized for his work with Futr and featured on billboards across Pennsylvania.

Sagar wants to change the world, and believes that all young people can too.
