Sasha Hase
Privet! My name is Sasha Hase, and I am a high school senior from Charlotte, North Carolina. With an American father and Russian mother, my multi-cultural background has always inspired me to seek out alternative perspectives that will help me grow and challenge myself along my journey as a leader. I strive to place a love for touching the lives of others at the heart of everything that I do, and my heritage has provided me with the unique privilege of being able to impact two communities on opposite sides of the globe.
I volunteered with the Project One ministry to Russian orphans, overseeing a successful fundraiser at my school and later guiding summer camp activities as a team leader. I have also organized a cultural awareness event in Svetlogorsk, Russia, and been a guest speaker at a Moscow business school, teaching English to adult employees. Here in the U.S., I am a private tutor and the director of a nonprofit organization that engages youth in environmental awareness. I am currently dually enrolled in community college, on track to graduate high school with an Associate in Science degree and continue pursuing my dream of becoming a linguistic analyst.
