Victor Young
Victor Young is a talented and dedicated pianist who, together with his twin brother Forest, made history as Utah’s first-ever winners of the Senior Piano Group at the 2025 MTNA Piano Duet Competition. Soon after, they won the Gold Award at the 7th WPTA Finland International Piano Competition, earned First Prize at the AVIMC, and were invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in January 2026.
Academically, Victor excels as a junior with a 35 ACT score, 13 passed AP exams, and a 4.0 unweighted GPA. He also participated in the University of Utah’s High School University Program, earning college credits in five subjects.
Victor competed in the 2025 iGEM— the world’s largest synthetic biology competition—held in Paris. Their project earned a Gold Medal, First Runner-Up (World Rank #2), and four individual awards in the high school division.
Victor has volunteered for more than 7 years, performing music for care center patients, retirees, and the public. He also uses his ASL skills to support and communicate with members of the deaf community. As an active ambassador for NSHSS and the Congressional App Challenge, he has demonstrated strong leadership.
