George Evans

George Evans is the head of upper school English at Spring Valley School, where he teaches students with learning disabilities. He received his M.A. in English literature from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and lives in town with his wife and two kids. He writes poems, essays, and short stories, and tries his best to keep local plants alive and thriving.

Grants Awarded in 2025: School Supplies Grant

NSHSS is always looking to find ways to support our network of educators, especially those who are constantly looking to support their students. To help offset the financial burden, NSHSS is giving four (4) high school educators $500 grants to help provide additional opportunities to their students and classrooms.
