Lawanda Harris

Lawanda Harris has been teaching for Miami Dade County Public Schools since 2000. Lawanda is a 3rd Grade Math, Science, and Social Studies Teacher.
She was declared the 2006-2007 Miami-Dade Public School Teacher of the Year. She served as the Grade Level Chairperson 2015-2018.

Grants Awarded in 2023: NSHSS Experiential Learning Grants

Experiential Learning engages students through hands-on experiences and reflection, connecting classroom knowledge to real-world applications, and NSHSS is awarding two (2) $1,000 grants to high school educators to support such opportunities.
