Vera Peck
Vera Peck is a science teacher at Fagaitua High School in American Samoa, where she is committed to inspiring students through hands-on, place-based learning that connects science to the culture and environment of American Samoa. With a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and comprehensive classroom experience, she strives to make science engaging and accessible for all learners. Beyond teaching, Vera is active in community projects and environmental stewardship, supporting future leaders and problem-solvers in her community.
Experiential Learning engages students through hands-on experiences and reflection, connecting classroom knowledge to real-world applications, and NSHSS is awarding two (2) $1,000 grants to high school educators to support such opportunities.
