NSHSS Scholar's Summer: Virtual Conference

On Saturday, August 8th, 2020 NSHSS members, parents, educators, and partners from all over the world gathered behind their computer screens for Scholar’s Summer Virtual Conference. This conference had one purpose. The purpose to celebrate our lifetime members and our new members for achieving great things while enduring extremely difficult times. This conference featured educational workshops, networking opportunities, and a college & career fair. These resources were available to registered attendees for a full 24-hours. Over 5,000 individuals registered for this event.

  • The Army ROTC Program: Leadership Development, Career Opportunities, and Scholarships - Presented by The Army ROTC
  • Week in the Life of a SHPEP Scholar - Presented by SHPEP
  • The College Essay and The Optional COVID-19 Supplement: How to Stand Out in The Application Process - Presented by Bullseye College Advising 
  • What Middle Income + Families Need to Know Now About Paying Less for College - Presented by SMARTTRACK® College Funding 

In addition to these workshops, attendees also had the opportunity to network with fellow members, college & career fair representatives, and NSHSS leaders within interactive chat rooms.

All NSHSS members who attended the event received a Scholar’s Summer Participation Certificate. Thank you to all who participated!
