 Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS)
Yale Young Global Scholars Two-Week Program

Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is one of the most globally diverse, two-week academic summer programs in the world. YYGS serves 2,400 students from over 130 countries and 50 U.S. states, and distributes over $3 million USD in need-based financial aid to both domestic and international students.

The two-week program facilitates discussions on cutting-edge topics in academia, while students also experience university life at Yale’s historic campus. Participants attend sessions based on their academic interest, while meeting like-minded students from around the world.

YYGS offers sessions in the humanities, social sciences, STEM topics, and a cross-disciplinary track that incorporates all of the above.

“Despite going to an international school, I have never been in an environment where so many people from so many nationalities congregated to simply learn together and inspire each other. It was fascinating for me to meet people from all around the world and learn about their country’s culture and traditions.”
-Yana Tucker, Alumna YYGS 2019

Application deadlines for the 2021 program have passed. Check back in early fall 2021 for more dates!
