Liberty Campus

Choosing which college to attend is not an easy decision, which is why you want to make sure you’re as informed as possible. At Liberty University, we provide you with the tools you need to make your decision. Here are 5 ways that Liberty stands out and why it’s a place you might want to call home.

Rigorous Academics

Liberty offers 200+ undergraduate degree programs, so you’ll find the perfect fit for your unique skills and passions. You can learn to fly in our School of Aeronautics, direct and produce film projects with your professors in our School of Communication & the Arts, prepare for a medical career in our Department of Biomedical Sciences, and much more! Explore all of Liberty’s degree programs to find the right one for you.

Endless Recreation

Our 7,000-acre campus provides state-of-the-art athletic and recreational facilities that will keep you moving.

Near the mountaintop, you’ll find the Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre, the country’s premier point for year-round skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. You can also enjoy one of the prettiest sunset views around, so even if you’re not a fan of snow sports, come on up and take in the view!

Liberty offers 20 NCAA Division I athletic programs, so — whether you’re more of a player or spectator — there’s always a way to support and cheer on the Liberty Flames!

Student-athletes can compete in sports like rock climbing, hockey, paintball, skiing and snowboarding, and crew on 40+ Club Sports teams. Liberty’s 20+ different intramural sports invite students to participate in various leagues and tournaments throughout the year, so no matter your experience level, you know you can stay active.

Local and Global Service

At Liberty, service brings students together through a Christ-centered community — Training Champions for Christ as students look out for each other and love one another with a servant’s attitude all while doing life together.

Liberty students volunteered more than half a million hours of community service last year. Through LU Serve, you can make a difference in the local community — 100% of Liberty students volunteer every semester at local churches, mentoring programs, soup kitchens, and more.

If you want to serve on a national or global level, LU Send Now provides humanitarian relief to communities suffering from natural disasters. Teams have served in areas including California, Puerto Rico, and Mexico.

Plentiful Scholarship and Financial Aid Options

Liberty’s Middle America Scholarship helps supplement working families and their children with aid that would not normally be available to them. For families earning typically between $35,000 and $95,000, this scholarship could provide up to $5,495 in need-based aid for their students every year.

Our generous Valedictorian/Salutatorian Scholarship covers 100% of tuition for students at the top of their class, and the Liberty Virginia High-Achiever Scholarship awards Virginia residents for maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher while enrolled at Liberty.

Completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is your first step to be considered for federal grants, work-study, loans, or other Liberty University scholarships. Once you submit your FAFSA and complete Liberty’s Financial Check-In, you can also receive up to $600 in Book Dollars your first semester to help cover the cost of textbooks.

College For A Weekend (CFAW)

In your college search, you make a lot of campus visits to get a feel for what it’s like as a student. Most visits give you just a few hours to tour the campus, but with College For A Weekend (CFAW), you can spend 3 jam-packed days experiencing life as an LU student.
