Recognition for my work is something I've always struggled with, I wanted to be more. From countless times of trying different activities or trying out for an audition, I still didn't get the true recognition I wanted. Eventually, I felt like I was stuck in the never-ending loop. I wanted people to truly understand my goals and passions.

At the time, I would constantly strive for many different skills at the same time to experiment on which one suits me the best. I thought this would allow me to easily access what skill worked for me rather than what I actually was interested in. For example, I was interested in writing fictional books at one point. It started off exciting, but when I stopped because I felt like the role didn’t fit me. Then, I started taking piano classes to be an aspiring music artist. I even publicly released two songs I wrote, and the skill still didn’t fit me.
Sometimes, it takes time to see the potential of your talents when others see it. When you finally understand what to do with your skill, everything changes. I realized I was chasing too many dreams that weren't meant for me. Instead, I realized I am an incredibly skilled dancer and strategic thinker and there are many opportunities for me.
Now I pursue dance and my education in business marketing. Over 200k viewers have recognized my skill through social media, I have showcased dance for performances, I got to participate in a state-wide Deca business conference, and now I'm getting enrolled back into dance.

Finding what you're truly passionate about can take time, sometimes your ticket to success is already what you're good at. It may have taken me many trials and errors, but I believe that you should focus on what you're good at rather than putting time into multiple different skills. Leverage the skill you hold to your best potential which can lead you to bigger opportunities awaiting you.
