Addis Sahle

Addis Sahle is co-founder and president of a non-profit called Dino Scholars, a reading-based mentoring program for marginalized populations. Addis serves as President and Director of Outreach and is responsible for implementing in-person and virtual bi-weekly reading and tutoring programs. As President, Addis oversaw the creation of a collection of short stories and poems entitled Dino Boys’ Tales, which was published in May 2023. They have sold over 300 copies of the book and dedicated the proceeds from its sales towards the Dino Scholars Scholarship Fund, which aims to provide educational opportunities to underserved children. 
 
Addis is also a competitive soccer player who has played for the Arlington Soccer Association club since he was eight. His team has qualified for National Championship status three years in a row, claiming the title in 2021 and becoming Semi-finalists and Quarter-finalists in subsequent years. Addis also plays on his high school’s varsity soccer team and enjoys the camaraderie of his teammates. He was selected All-Conference Honorable Mention in spring 2023. He also played basketball in the winter and ran track and field (800m). 
 
Addis hopes to continue to play club soccer in college and earn a bachelor’s degree in Information Science and Business.
