Alice Ma
Alice Ma, a student at The Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas, has been dancing since she first learned how to stand. She became a company member at the Oriental Arts Education Center (OAEC) at the age of 3, where she learned the basics of ballet, jazz, contemporary, and folkloric dance. She began competing annually when she was 6 years old, and since then has won numerous awards at national dance competitions like Starquest, Showstopper, and Platinum. In addition to OAEC, she is a member of the National Dance Honors Society and Vice President of the Kinkaid Dance Company, where she choreographs her own pieces in the Spring Student Choreography Concert. She also loves to contribute her dance talents in the school musical and has been Dance Captain for two consecutive years in both “Bright Star” and “Carrie.” She hopes to continue dancing in college to explore the realm of expression and creativity through the arts.
