Anna Zavadski
Anna is an aspiring AI engineer majoring in computer science in the fall. Since middle school, she has explored programming as both a creative outlet and a problem-solving tool. Her passion has led to internships in both computer science and chemistry, where she combined data analysis with hands-on research. She presented her findings on hurricane disparities and climate justice during Florida Climate Week.
A strong believer in community and collaboration, Anna led a Girls Who Code chapter, mentoring groups of 20-30 students with her team in schools across Broward County. She was President of Art From the Heart a non-profit that provides 200 handmade craft kits each year for children at Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital. As Co-President of her school’s Diversity club, she organized events to promote inclusion and cross-cultural understanding.
With over a decade of dance experience, Anna leads, choreographs, and creates music mashups as Captain of the Finesse Dance Team. She received the Head of School Dance Award and was a Miami Herald Silver Knight nominee in Music & Dance.
Anna also volunteers with Saving Sage Animal Rescue and mentors Ukrainian girls on weekends, helping them strengthen their English skills and build confidence in self-expression.
