Audrey Rivera will be attending New York University in the Fall of 2026. Throughout her high school career she served as the International Thespian Society President and the Secretary of the Tri-M Music Honor Society as well as the Spanish Honor Society. She received the highest rating of Superior for various performances at the Florida State Thespian Festival. In addition, she participated in numerous community theatre plays and musicals throughout her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. She plans on majoring in Drama at Tisch School of the Arts and minoring in Spanish and Politics. After discovering that her great grandfather wrote multiple plays in Spanish, she directed one of his shows and became passionate about Spanish theatre. She hopes to study the ability of theatre to catalyze political change through its historic use of techniques like satire and abstractionism. Ultimately, she aims to understand how Spanish and theatre shape the evolving political landscape.

The Claes Nobel Future Female Leader Scholarship was established to encourage and empower young women to assume future leadership roles in their colleges and universities, their careers and communities, and to become mentors for the young women following in their footsteps. Leadership doesn’t have to mean being the head of a club. Actions, not titles, make leaders.
