Awan Awan

Awan Awan is a senior at Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, where he studies the electrical trade. A student-athlete of remarkable range, Awan serves as captain of both the basketball and track & field teams, while also holding multiple school records in track.
Beyond athletics, Awan is a student researcher who has conducted research at MIT, where he contributed to the discovery of a new protein complex. That work earned him the opportunity to represent Massachusetts at a national science conference and led to his recognition as a lifetime fellow of the American Junior Academy of Sciences (AJAS).
Outside the lab and sports, Awan is a dedicated big brother to five younger siblings, a role that speaks to the same commitment and leadership he brings everywhere else.
This fall, Awan will attend Cornell University, where he will pursue a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering on a full-ride scholarship.
