Cleo Shannon

Cleo is a graduate of the IB Diploma Programme at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. She plans to study naval engineering at the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. Outside of school, she plays and coach volleyball. Cleo was a four-year varsity starter for my high school and played nationally for her club, Carolina Juniors. She is excited to continue her volleyball career by playing collegiately while at Stevens.

Additionally, she enjoys building and launching model rockets. Cleo founded the club Rocket Girls--Ladies Who Launch at her school, a club devoted to empowering and encouraging women to pursue coursework and careers in STEM. Cleo plans to continue her passion for promoting women in STEM throughout her time at Stevens and in her future career.
