Ella Boykin

Ella is a senior at Jackson Academy and plans to pursue an elementary education degree at Mississippi State University. She is a member of the varsity softball, cross country, and track teams, lead team for FCA, co-editor of the yearbook, student ambassador, show choir performer, and an Academy Honor Roll student.

Ella's community service has primarily been devoted to the Mississippi Children's Museum, working in gallery exhibits, assisting with special events, and serving as a camp counselor for spring, summer and winter educational camps. She has also served as a volunteer t-ball/softball coach for young girls playing in the North Jackson Youth Baseball/Softball recreational league, a preschool leader at her church's Bible Camp, a buddy with the Tebow Foundation's Night to Shine prom-like event for adults and teens with disabilities, and a volunteer with the Special Olympics of Mississippi Unified Sports Program which supports inclusion in a competitive sports environment.

Ella's commitment to service in her community has led to her being selected as the 2024 Mississippi Children's Museum Volunteer of the Year, the 2024 Volunteer Mississippi GIVE Award: First Lady's Youth Volunteer Rising Star, and a 2024 Goodwill Salute Youth Volunteer Honoree.
