Fatima Alemi

Fatima Alemi is a senior at Santana High School in Santee, California. Originally from Afghanistan, she moved to the United States and has worked diligently to succeed academically. Her efforts have earned her a place on the Honor Roll for five semesters, along with accolades such as the ELD Achievement Award and the Benchmark Excellence Award.
At school, Fatima contributes as a member of the Front Desk Support team, where she answers phones, gives tours to new students, and provides translation assistance in Dari. She is actively involved in the Refugee Youth Mentorship Program and the Hamrah Arts Club, both of which have helped her build confidence and express herself through art.
Outside the classroom, she plays on the varsity soccer and tennis teams and previously participated on the JV volleyball team. Her strong academic performance led to her selection for the Honor Guard, where she assisted during graduation ceremonies. Fatima takes great pride in her accomplishments and looks forward to continuing her journey of learning, personal growth, and making a meaningful impact in her community.
