Lawson Watt

Lawson Watt, an honors student at The Potomac School, is the founder of Lawson’s Locker, a community initiative dedicated to making youth sports more accessible to students in under-resourced communities.

In recognition of his commitment to service and leadership, Lawson is a recipient of the NSHSS Hometown Hero Award, and has also been recognized by ESPN & the Billie Jean King Foundation as a 2026 Regional Youth Leader.

Lawson, a 2026 Carson Scholar, serves as President of the Potomac STEM Club and as a Student Athletic Committee leader while pursuing an honors and advanced academic program in his school's Economics, Finance and Business concentration program.

A dedicated student-athlete, Lawson has served as Captain of the U.S. Olympic Development Program National Soccer Team and is a 4 year varsity player for his high school. He has also served as a long-term mentor/coach for TopSoccer, a program which supports athletes with disabilities.

Across his school, community, and athletic commitments, he has demonstrated a consistent ability to turn initiative into action and create opportunities for others.
