Mahirr Sikka
Mahirr is a passionate advocate for sustainable agriculture, dedicating his efforts to innovative farming techniques. He founded FarmAble, a hydroponics project that has inspired over 30 students across India to embrace sustainable practices. His initiative received recognition and a funding award of $2,400 from the Global Youth Action Fund (GYAF) to create a hydroponics farm. Additionally, FarmAble received the DSWA Award at the Diamond Challenge at the University of Delaware, enabling him to expand his work and impact. Mahirr frequently lectures students on hydroponics and how to make systems, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for this sustainable farming method. His commitment to sustainability also led him to assist with research in hydroponics.
Beyond his commitment to sustainability, Mahirr has a deep passion for STEM and loves to solve problems by creating products through woodworking. He is also an F1 in Schools World finalist. In his free time, Mahirr enjoys playing various musical instruments, including the guitar, drums, ukulele, and cajon. Lastly, he enjoys playing tennis and volunteering at his local NGO.
