Manuela, a recent graduate of Colegio Granadino, exemplifies both academic achievement and social responsibility. For eight years, she volunteered with School Against Poverty, empowering underprivileged children through educational activities. Recognizing the importance of giving back, she founded the Arigato Project, supporting expectant mothers in need and children facing difficult social situations with tutoring lessons, school remodelings, macramé classes, among others.

She served as president of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and treasurer of the National Honor Society (NHS), demonstrating her commitment to bettering the community around her. Her intellectual curiosity shone as General Director for Model United Nations (MUN) for two years, and she skillfully managed logistics for the Science Olympiads. A consistent high achiever, Manuela received the Academic Excellence Honor Scholarship at her school.

Beyond academics, Manuela's entrepreneurial spirit thrives through her online bracelet business. She further demonstrates her intellectual curiosity by actively participating in competitions, recently winning both the International Business and Technology Competition and the International Oxford Immerse Competition Essay Scholarship. Manuela is a well-rounded individual with a passion for learning and a desire to make a positive impact on the world.

Scholarships Awarded in 2024: NSHSS Foundation Earth Day Awards

The NSHSS Foundation encourages environmental stewardship among high school students globally through the Foundation Earth Day Award. Students submit their environmental project they are working on currently, and provide details on  the impact of the project in their communities and how it will impact the future.
